Flowers

A vibrant floral arrangement rendered in loose, gestural brushwork that prioritises colour and light over botanical detail. Pink, white and yellow blooms emerge from a blue vase against a softly graded background of greens and neutrals. The composition balances representational form with abstraction, allowing pigment to suggest rather than define. Van Rensburg’s acrylic technique here echoes the impressionist sensibility developed during his extended practice in the Overberg landscape tradition.
