A bird’s-eye view of agricultural land rendered in vivid, contrasting hues of yellow, orange, purple, and green. Van Rensburg’s impressionistic approach animates the landscape through bold colour choices and gestural brushwork, capturing the geometric patterns of the Overberg region’s farming terrain. Oil on canvas has enabled the artist to achieve the luminous, layered effects characteristic of his practice since the early 1990s.
