Flowers (Textured print)

A profusion of blooms in warm and cool tones emerges from a white vessel set against a deep blue ground. The composition balances dense floral abundance with areas of quieter space, whilst the textured print surface creates tactile variation across the canvas. Yellows, reds, purples and whites read as individual flowers amongst verdant foliage, establishing an arrangement that oscillates between order and exuberance. Portchie’s multidisciplinary practice extends across painting, sculpture and textile, each medium investigating how simple, joyful subjects might generate connection with the viewer.
