(c) White Daisy on palette

A vibrant composition of white daisies set against a richly patterned ground of blues, reds, oranges and greens. The flowers emerge with quiet presence from the layered, decorative background, their petals rendered with painterly directness. The work balances figuration with abstract patterning, creating a surface of considerable visual interest. Portchie’s acrylic technique here demonstrates his characteristic ability to layer colour and form into a joyful, accessible composition.
