(c) White daisy

A single white daisy emerges from a deep blue stem against a dark ground, rendered in acrylic on stretched canvas. The composition is vertically oriented and intimate in scale, with the flower positioned centrally within a narrow vertical format. The palette—predominantly deep blue, black and white—creates a striking tonal contrast. The work demonstrates Portchie’s characteristic approach to finding joy and connection in simple natural subjects, translated here into a meditative study of colour and form.
