Landscape

A rural landscape composed of layered fields of flowering crops stretching toward distant homesteads beneath a luminous sky. The composition uses horizontal bands of colour to suggest depth, with foreground vegetation giving way to tree-lined fields and architectural forms on the horizon. Warm yellows, oranges and pinks dominate, applied with visible brushwork that conveys both structure and atmospheric immediacy. Le Roux employs acrylic’s versatility to balance figurative clarity with expressive colour, reflecting her engagement with South Africa’s landscape as a repository of emotional intensity.
