Skylines

A whimsical zebra stands at the centre of this composition, rendered in bold stripes of blue, yellow and black against a divided landscape. The lower register glows with sunny yellow; the upper half opens into a luminous sky populated with aircraft and clouds rendered in the artist’s characteristic graphic vocabulary. The print employs clean lines and flat colour planes to create a world where terrestrial and aerial realms coexist in playful dissonance. Kuijers brings his decades of illustration training to bear in this contemporary work.
