Puppy Love

This steel sculpture presents two stylised dog heads in profile, rendered with bold linear patterns that suggest movement and playfulness. The forms intertwine and overlap, their contours defined by rhythmic striped hatching that creates visual texture across the metal surfaces. A heart shape nestles between them, the central motif grounding the composition’s gentle wit. The work demonstrates Kuijers’ confident hand with graphic form—a natural extension of his early distinction in graphic art—translated here into three-dimensional steel.
