Karoo aand en die maan

A solitary white homestead anchors this composition, set amongst golden fields beneath a luminous sky. Birds migrate across the canvas in loose formation, whilst a cypress rises sentinel on the right. Glendine employs generous washes of ochre and cream, offsetting the architectural geometry with gestural mark-making and atmospheric depth. The acrylic surface balances detailed linework with expansive colour fields, characteristic of her engagement with the Karoo’s deserted dwellings and vast horizons.
