Home Run

This elegant steel sculpture presents a dynamic composition in brilliant blue, its sweeping curves and undulating forms suggesting movement and flight. The work balances horizontal extension with vertical loops, creating a sense of rhythmic energy across its modest footprint. The polished steel surface catches light, animating the piece’s flowing lines. Kuijers, who transitioned to full-time artistic practice in 1999 after a decade of design work, employs steel as a medium to explore form and spatial relationships.
