(c) Purple petunias u/f

A vibrant arrangement of purple petunias with yellow stamens dominates the composition, rendered with bold, gestural brushwork and a palette knife technique that emphasises texture and spontaneity. Green foliage anchors the flowers against a delicately sketched, linear background in soft greys and whites. The painting balances loose, expressive application with considered colour harmony, creating a work that captures both the essential form and the artist’s immediate response to the subject. Templeton’s contemporary impressionist approach is evident in the crisp colour application and dynamic brushwork.
