A good nose

This steel sculpture presents a stylised figure in profile, rendered with bold, geometric abstraction. The composition stacks a bottle-like form above a seated or crouching body, creating an off-balance, almost contradictory gesture. The work employs negative space as actively as solid form, with cut-outs suggesting features and movement. Kuijers’s background in graphic design and illustration informs the graphic quality of this three-dimensional work.
