Pink roses

A horizontal composition depicting pink and red roses in full bloom, rendered with loose, expressive brushwork across the canvas. The flowers occupy the composition with varied density, from densely clustered blooms to more spare, atmospheric passages. The palette combines warm rose tones with cooler greys and greens, creating depth and luminosity. Neal’s acrylic technique builds colour in layered, gestural marks that suggest rather than delineate form. Working in the impressionist tradition, the artist demonstrates her established passion for floral subjects through bold, fresh application of paint.
