c Tulip on Blue U/F

A single red tulip with green stem occupies the vertical centre of this composition, set against a soft blue ground punctuated by pale circular forms. The flower is rendered with directness, its petals warm and saturated, whilst the stem demonstrates Munro’s characteristically assured handling of colour and form. The restraint of the palette and the flower’s solitary presence create an intimate, meditative quality. Munro’s expressionist approach transforms this simple botanical subject into a statement of chromatic and compositional clarity.
