Landscape

A rural landscape animated by bold geometric forms and vibrant colour. Three distinctive trees with splayed branches anchor the composition, whilst agricultural fields in vivid yellows and reds stretch beneath a luminous blue sky. A modest farmstead nestles amongst the vegetation. Trobec’s characteristic use of exuberant colour and simplified forms transforms the ordinary countryside into something altogether more expressive, achieved through acrylic on canvas with the gleeful abandon that defines his shift towards naïve fauvism.
