A profusion of white and pale pink daisies rises from a golden-ochre vessel set against a richly modulated background of purple, magenta, and cool teal tones. The flowers are rendered with gestural vitality, their forms suggested through layered acrylic marks rather than precise definition. The composition balances decorative abundance with painterly restraint, the warm vessel anchoring the composition whilst the cool background creates spatial depth. Gericke’s acrylic technique demonstrates the influence of his extensive studies with leading South African artists.
