Anthuriums en Duiwe

This work presents white anthuriums alongside abstracted grey-brown forms across three compositional registers, painted in oil on board. The flowers, rendered with botanical clarity, occupy the upper panels with graceful spathe and spadix, whilst the lower register shifts into geometric abstraction. Heyns employs a restrained palette of whites, creams and muted earth tones, creating a meditative study that moves fluidly between representation and abstraction.
