Marisa du Toit was born in Springs 1976. Having no formal art education she started to paint full time in 1998,and in 2005 she did a short art course at Unisa. In 2006 she moved to Dubai, UAE and started to exhibit on a monthly basis there. In 2009 she returned to South Africa and is currently residing in Pretoria with husband Conrad and daughter Zoé
