Estelle Logie
Estelle is a fine artist painting in watercolor, acrylic and more recently oils and mixed media. She matriculated at Afrikaans Hoër Meisies Skool in Pretoria in 1966, and subsequently studied Fine Art at Pretoria Technicon and UNISA. As a member of the Watercolor Society for many years she exhibited all over South Africa including Hong Kong. In 2001 she won a branch signatures award in watercolor. Other exhibitions include Stellenbosch, Durbanville, Hermanus and Somerset West. Since moving from the Cape to Gauteng, she has been actively involved in exhibitions in Centurion, Brooklyn, and Irene in the Pretoria area. Her inspiration comes mostly from nature. She loves painting flowers, landscapes and sky, historical buildings are amongst her favourites, especially since having lived in Israel in 2008, Jerusalem and Tel Aviv became a great inspiration. She has also recently expressed herself in modern contemporary mixed media work, having been inspired by Piet Mondrian and Paul Klee.She finds herself blessed to have an ability of expression through art, and always tries to glorify God in all she creates on canvas.
