Cattle in a landscape

A pastoral composition depicting cattle gathered beneath a canopy of trees suffused with golden light. The animals stand in quiet repose on a verdant ground scattered with wildflowers, whilst the dappled woodland setting creates an atmosphere of serene sanctuary. Polson’s approach emphasises chromatic warmth and atmospheric depth, with loose, assured brushwork that prioritises mood over precise detail. The work exemplifies the artist’s belief that colour establishes emotional resonance within tranquil scenes that speak to the contemplative aspects of rural life.
